Welcome to the Cumberland Sustainable Community Wiki. Here we can explore the concepts of sustainable communities together.

We have completed our first study circle and have narrowed our brainstorming ideas to a specific focus. We are spending the next few weeks looking for ideas revolving around the idea of an online community sustainable bulletin board. At our last meeting our direction was to find examples of online community boards that may work for our community as well as to envision scenarios in which the bulletin board could be used to encourage people of Cumberland to learn and apply concepts of sustainability. Our next meeting to discuss what we have found will be Tuesday April 7th at the Cumberland First United Methodist Church.

Hi Shawn! This is Gina, we met at the RCSC and again at the county planning meeting? I've put together an Ethical Eating Task Force, which is working with the RCSC and the Food Network to put together a film festival here at the college in Rice Lake. I am wondering if the cumberland group would like to be a part of this as a sponser? You would then be listed on all materialsl/flyers/posters- plus members could come to the showings with material regarding the group etc... Just thinking it may be a good opportunity for all of us? If you are going to the RCSC meeting tomorrow we can talk then, otherwise, how 'bout we try out this wiki thing? The press releases will be going out hopefully friday so this is appropriate for this group to sponser, I would need to know relatively quickly... sorry for the last minute nature..
